JULIE RRAP has been a defining figure in a generation of feminist art in Australia, leaving an indelible mark with a powerful body of work spanning four decades. Since the mid-1970s, Rrap has created photographs, sculpture, performance, and video art that centres around the representation of her own body. Utilising techniques such as direct moulding, casting, photography, and live performance, Rrap’s transforms her body into the ‘material’ of her work. Both the artist and her practice have achieved iconic status in Australian art history.
